The NZ Police Association has presented a pay offer. This offer packs some serious perks that you should know about:

Pay Offer Highlights:

  • Financial Boost: Starting from April 3, 2023, a proposed $4,000 permanent pay increase is proposed. This increase varies based on your current pay, ranging from 8% for those at the lower end to 2.94% for those at the higher end.

  • Future Security: On April 3, 2024, a 4% pay increase is planned.

  • Allowance Adjustments: Allowances are set to increase by 4.4% on April 3, 2023, and by 4.0% on April 3, 2024.

  • Health Benefits: Members can claim two tax-free benefits of $600 yearly for health checks or Police Health Plan insurance. Additionally, Constabulary members can seek reimbursement for eye tests and a portion of the glasses cost.

  • Rural Response Allowance: The proposal includes a 10% increase in the Rural Response Allowance.

  • Sick Leave Bank: Police employees will be included in the sick leave bank, providing an additional hour of annual leave per member.

  • Retention of CSIs: Competency service increments (CSIs) payable on the anniversary date are retained and will remain in addition to the above increases.
